Cleaning the Streets
In the area of Tokyo I work in, every week or so, a local company sends out employees to walk the streets and to pick up cigarette butts, coffee cans, and trash. I was too ashamed to snap a picture, but I saw some 50-year old men in suits working the streets yesterday. Even my school sends students and some faculty to clean the neighborhood!

Greedy or Convenience
I notice in Japan there are hardly any 24-hour services. Even many convenient stores close late at night and train service stops by 1am.
Funny even some Internet shopping sites and ATMs close after midnight!
I use to think that this was terrible, then humorous, now I think that maybe the 24 hour society wasn't made out of convenience, but as a way to make more money...
